Production Laborer

Being a Production Laborer at SEMTECH Seeds and Grains means being part of a team that supports and cares for each other. Work is always done in pairs. Additionally, our 3 plants and our wide variety of products allow for diverse tasks.

MAIN MANDATE:

Using conveyors, robots, and forklifts, he or she is responsible for bagging soybeans. He or she must ensure the calibration of equipment according to desired varieties, label the bags, ensure storage, and perform necessary quality checks.

OTHER TASKS:

• Complete production forms and record the weight of the bags
• Ensure the supply of bags and pallets during production
• Clean the equipment during a variety change
• Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment
• All other related tasks.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to stand for the entire shift and lift loads (30 kg and more)
• Available for overtime during peak periods
• Must be able to read and write legibly in French
• Diligence and attention to detail
• Forklift license (asset).
